Hemp Fiber Reinforced Bio-Composite
Chopped hemp shive reinforced products are marketed by RheTech as the HF and CHF series. Hemp shive is the waste part of the hemp plant stem. The CHF series includes coarse hemp fiber grades while the HF series includes fine hemp fiber grades. The finished product results in a slightly darker than wood, fibrous look. Both fibers give high strength and stiffness properties. Recycled resins can be used in conjunction with hemp to make a “greener” product.
